Nautical album cover

Nautical album cover made of canvas and bookboard. Add more scrapbooking pages, alter it on a photo album for summer holidays photos, or just cut and place blank pages and create a notepad.

Two 8x8in bookboard pieces are covered with canvas and decorated with ribbons, charms and wooden embellishments.

The multicolored May Arts ribbon used at the bottom is waved on the bookboard as sea waves. A brown piece of May Arts net ribbon works as a piece of wood (stating a boat) with a wide (1.5in) cotton ribbon distressed to match the shades of the project.

A wooden boat wheel, wrapped with natural cord, a large metallic starfish, little pearls and pieces of May Arts cotton ribbon as flags embellish this nautical album cover.

Blue and natural colours were mainly used. The metallic items reflect and attract further attention on the cover.

Pass some thread in a needle and sew it on one edge of the May Arts multicolored ribbon. It will help to go through the holes easier. Now go in an out of the holes, trying to keep a horizontal pattern. When finish with that, turn to the other side and cover the back with canvas.

Open 8 holes (1/8) on the top edge of the cover in gaps of 3/4in and two on the right side. Pass the cord and and leave about 8 inches spare to use around the boat wheel. Of course you can go with a different pattern to suit your embellishments.

Cut an 8in long piece from May Arts net  brown ribbon and glue it just above the finished blue ribbon patern. Continue with the long cotton ribbon.
